Pedn Vounder Beach is a lovely sandy beach in Cornwall. It is difficult to access and this year (2025) it has actually been roped off by the National Trust as the Access routes are deemed unsafe. The captain does not recommend you attempt to access the beach.

That hasn't stopped intrepid visitors, but do bear in mind your own safety should you attempt it. Beware the tides as if you get cut off, it is a dangerous scramble back up.

2025: The Captain did manage to access the beach and spend a very pleasant couple of hours there. It is a lovely sandy beach. Quite small, but not too busy due to its inaccessibility.

Getting there
*UPDATE* The Captain does not recommend accessing the beach at the moment. You undertake the access at your own risk as it is currently roped off by the National Trust as being too dangerous due to rockfalls.

Park in the Pay & Display Carpark in Treen and walk from there. The first 20 minutes or so are relatively level, then it is a deep scramble down. Don't go down the first, obvious descent, but carry on further South to the second where a zig zag path will take you down. The last 50 feet or so is a steep scramble down the rocks, so wear sure-footed shoes.
