This is located in the Cote Bleu area near Marseilles.
From a Barefooter in 2025: There were a few chaps on the beach and a Dutch couple on a boat moored in the bay but the cliffs make it very private if you are with someone less enthusiastic.
The unsophisticated signs were brilliant.
Very rocky and pebbly and tricky to get to – not recommended for children according to one reviewer.

Getting there
You can access from either side but it does require some rock scrambling. It’s also very rocky so bring water shoes and a padded mat if you plan to lie down
The other complication is the road to Mejean closes at 8am on weekends and 2pm on weekdays in the summer to limit traffic. Blissful if you are already in as it’s never too busy. ( park just after the traffic light and head down to the shore)
There is a pathway over the cliff top. I didn’t love the detour but it did make the swim absolutely glorious!
