From a Barefooter:
September 2026: We spent two days at Avlaki beach. It is the island’s old harbour, now disused but sheltered from the north winds. In September, the only two houses – which are probably only inhabited in summer – are closed. Once you’ve parked your car near the little church, it’s just a very short walk to the jetty. On the right, there is a small pebble beach.
When we arrived, there was a couple there; he was naked whilst she was topless, but she had no qualms about taking off her swimsuit whilst swimming. Nearby is the well-maintained jetty, where it’s easy to get into the water, thanks in part to some steps. There was another couple there without swimsuits, so we didn’t feel self-conscious either. Later, other people arrived in swimsuits but had no qualms about changing in front of us.
In conclusion, it is a secluded beach but probably cannot be described as entirely naturist and probably quite different in the height of summer.
