Update for September 2025: I am sad to report that I can no longer recommend Agios Panteleimon or even Amorgos in general for nudism. The locals have decided to take a hard stance against nudists. Prominent signs that forbid nudism have been posted on all beaches and nude sunbathers are met with threats of calling the police and swears by locals. I think this is connected to larger strategy to attract more affluent tourists to the island and get rid of the old alternative crowd that used to love Amorgos. Naturists do not fit in with the coveted glamorous clients.

2024:
Agios Panteleimon is a cute little chapel located between the village of Xylokeratidi and Maltesi beach. The landscape below is rocky but there is also a small cove where you can walk into the sea. Most people prefer to lie on the rocks and jump in the water while some lie and sit around the chapel.
The crowd is mostly nudist but there is something special about them. They belong to a subculture of young Greeks called “The Phaseoi” which roughly translates as “The Trendies”. They come across as a cross of hippies and punks. They dye their hair, have piercings and usually like a certain style of Greek music with rock and folk influences.
While the Trendies are not mal-intended they do have a group mentality and are not always happy to share their space with others.
Consequently there were times when I got dirty looks from a few of them for being a clearly not “trendy” middle-aged nudist.
In this community we are used to grouping people as nudists and textiles, but the friend groups of Trendies are mixed and to them this is normal.
To reach Agios Panteleimon you walk to the far side of Katapola port, go threw Xylokeratidi, then walk down a path that leads to a beach. At the end of the beach you can see the rocks and the church. It is a pleasant and not very long walk.
If you are up for a hike you can take the trail from Agios Panteleimon to Maltezi beach which is nice and sandy but not nudist.
