WELCOME TO NATURIST CAMPING LE MÉROU

(From its website): You don’t want stress during the holidays! You want nothing more than to unwind by the swimming pool. You want to enjoy the terrace with a glass of fine wine, a cappuccino or iced tea, and why not enjoy something sweet or savoury? Do you dream of a relaxing holiday? You are indeed welcome to camping Le Mérou.

Looking for calm for your children? They can have fun freely throughout the day. They will benefit from the forest, and may wish to build huts. Space will be at their disposal and we will offer various materials for the realization of their creations.

Le Mérou is located in the Tarn and Garonne on the Causse de Limogne, near Cavlus a small medieval town 35 km south from Cahors.

2025 Barefooter (GW) visit Report: This smallish site (official capacity 25) is run by a Dutch couple, Mia and Bert, and almost all the visitors were Dutch while we were there - I saw one Belgian car and our own UK-registered car.

Some families clearly visit every year - there are a series of planks in the bar area with height markings for the children!

There is a communal meal on Wednesdays - Mia did a seating plan so we were with people who could speak English - and a BYO barbecue on Sundays. Very friendly - we spent our last evening playing Rummikub and other games with a Dutch family from a neighbouring plot, but people joined in or not with communal activities as they chose.

Our spacious spot was tucked into woodland, while others were in more open ground. A good location for southern Quercy - we visited St. Antonin Noble Val, Bruniquel, Montauban and Najac, while Cahors and St Cirque Lapopie are also in easy reach. The owners suggest cyclists bring their road bikes - it was far too hot and hilly to tempt me onto two wheels! Bread available (if ordered in advance) six days a week.
