2016: A report from malecyprus lifted from the forum:
"I usually sunbathe on the beach next to Girne Alagadi beach. This is a turtles-protected beach. It is calmer between April and June and after September. Weekends are too crowded because locals come. I do not recommend naked sunbathing when it's too crowded."

Strictly speaking, naturism is illegal on Northern Cyprus as in Turkiye. However we were delighted to find a small naturist enclave at the eastern end of Alagadi Turtle Beach. Some days we were by ourselves, on other days a couple of others would come and disrobe. It is such a long walk from the car park at the western end of the beach that you have to be quite intentional in making the trek. As well as the view and the peace and quiet, the snorkelling around the rocks at the eastern end is superb. In addition to colourful fish there were rays. One naturist we talked to claimed to have swum near adult turtles.
