Perran Beach is a lovely sandy beach to the North of Perranporth in Cornwall. It is about 2.5Km (1.5m) long.
The best way of accessing it, the Captain found, was to go to Haven Perran Sands Car Park within the Holiday resort. From there it is about a 10 minute walk (quite a steep walk down but it is ramped all the way). Don't forget to pay for your parking at Reception before you leave. It's not much and will save you a somewhat bigger fine.
You hit the beach about half way along. This is where the Lifeguards are based, the families congregate and where any se activities, such as surfing go on.
Turn right and walk to the North end, which is the naturist end just before the rocky outcrop. There is a bit of a bay there, but anywhere in the area is fine as it is so far away from the main activity area.
The sandy beach gently slopes so if the tide is out you do have to walk a long way. Beware of undercurrents. The Captain found it hard to fight the flow from time to time.
