Driving further north along the coast track from Lara Beach is this bay with the sunken Roman town below the water.
Tjioni Beach is located on the western side of the Akamas Peninsula. The Akamas is a national park and as such the beaches along this section of coast are largely un-spoilt with barely any development. This also applies to the roads which are in fact tracks, (a standard car will struggle with certain sections of the road [track] from Paphos or Latchi, a lot of people hire jeeps).
Tjioni beach is a essential a bay with flat rock, but there are couple of sections of sandy/pebble beach. Slightly further north, (about 200m) is another little beach which is a little off the main road (track) 35°02’43.8″N 32°16’28.7″E . Further still from Tjioni beach (approx 1.2kM) 35°03’18.7″N 32°16’24.5″E there’s another small bay with sandy sections of beach. This beach is more secluded and not overlooked from passing vehicles.
A point to note is that there are no facilities (bars, toilets, etc) in this area.
