September 2020 – Gides Beach is a stony beach about 150m long. The beach was very quiet, clean and peaceful. When we visited Gides Beach there was one other couple at the far end of the beach. I stripped off and swam and sunbathed nude at the opposite end of the beach. This beach is just around the headland from the popular Vitali beach which has tavernas, etc. However, whilst the very occasional person might swim around the headland (it’s a long swim), there isn’t any footpath and the road (a rough track) is 5-10 minutes to drive, really only suitable for 4WD’s.

The beach is overlooked by the track but, if you pick your spot, you won’t be seen, but I only saw one car all day. At Gides beach there are no facilities or shelter, so bring your own food and drink.
