GULF of MESSINI – Trahila / Kataphygi

Take the road from Agios Nikolaos and Agios Dimitrios towards Trahila in the region called Exo Mani. Less than a km out of Dimitrios, you'll find on your right cliffs with dressed and naked bathers (50 - 50). The water is very clean and nice but there is little space for taking sun.
A short steep path leads down just past the last house on the right going south; easy to park at roadside. Singles, famillies, textile and naked; no more than 20 people in early August 2011. No sand just rocks, good diving and tombstoning; part of beach is visible from road.
Trahila itself is an excellent place; visitors are so rare (being at the end of the road), the locals will go to no end of trouble to make you welcome.

2020 September: not a beach at all, as described above, but an excellent place for naturism. A mixed crowd but predominantly naked, even on a Sunday!

Stunning natural rock formation, feels ancient, even pre-historic. Great place to be naked! Nudism possible all year round in the middle and back platforms. Mixed straight and gay. The path down is just after the holiday cottages “Katafigo Village”. You can find the Google Maps listing with “Katafigio Cave”. There’s a small path down, it’s a bit of a climb but okay.
