Playa Arroyo Vaquero
Details
Strictly, the naturist beach lies about 300m to the east of this beach, towards the town of Estepona. The naturist part of the beach lies immediately below the naturist resort of Costa Natura - residents have a gate to access the beach. The beach bar in the resort serves drinks (including beer and wine, snacks etc for beach users who are not staying at Costa Natura. There are a (very) few thatched parasols and beach chairs for hire for a few Euros.
The beach is well-used by locals - in fact, probably more locals than tourists whenever I have been there. Lots of couples, a very few families. The sand is quite coarse, but not too gritty and harsh. The sea here is not as warm as further east in the Mediterranean, but by August it usually reaches a comfortable temperature. The sand gets very hot by early afternoon - flip-flops essential!
There is a large Aldi supermarket on the other side of the A7 dual carriageway for stocking up with food, water etc. Accessible over a footbridge.
