Once widely known as "the" gay nudist beach with an "extraordinary" taverna. In the past it seemed to be divided into three areas: the gay part, where everyone was nude, but everyone was male and in couples. Then there was the textile part at the other end near the taverna. In the middle was a strip populated by mixed sex nudist couples. It was worth it, if only for the experience. But things have been changing over the last decade. A visitor there in 1997 described it to me as not bad, but it has become a 'discovered' CO beach and there were more clothed tourists looking for nude bodies to watch than nudists. Beach was 25% nude during a stay in summer 1997. Taverna is extraordinary!
More recent reports suggest that naturism was pretty much a lost cause on both Paradise and Super, with the few that were present at the western end of both beaches. Even toplessness was rare.
2006 / 7: A Barefoot reporter who visited in September 2006 found it totally full of textiles. Even at the "nudist" end 80% of the gay couples were clothed. Our Barefooter found it uncomfortable to be a nudist and left after about an hour. A similar report came in during high season 2007 - of some 2000 people on the beach my reporter reckoned about 8 were nude, and there were about 20 topless women. Oh dear.
2010 August: Super Paradise beach now at the end towards the rocks on the opposite side of super paradise club has signs now saying that this is a nudist area of the beach. On super paradise beach I seen the most nude people on that island. No-one bothered no-one. If you like nudism, Super paradise seems to be the best. Now like any other beach where there are clubs, around 5 pm, 5:30 pm, the clubs turn up the music, and the naked people get dressed, and go to the clubs.
September: It was so crowded. And there are nearly 30-40 nudists at all. There is a section for nudists but also this section is not for only nudists. Sunbeds and umbrella is so expensive (16 euros), so people who don't want to pay this money, prefer to use the section which is the end of the beach. So this section is full of people who are nudists and textiles! mostly nudists are gays. We saw just 2 or 3 couples. But there is a high tolerance. We were sitting near by a textile family with little children. But everyone was kind.
The biggest problem is that the taverns are all expensive. You have to pay 5 Euro for just a little beer. But the toilets and showers are good. Also the sea is perfect!
We don't agree the explanations about "the easy and simple way". Yes, you can find the way easily. But lighters and also traffic signs are so un-enough. So people have to be careful if they prefer to join the party or prefer to stay till late hours!
2012 July: I went to Super Paradise on 07/05/2012. It was nearly 100 percent textile. I also went to Agrari and Elia, the same there. I think these beaches are out for naturism.
2017 June: Now there are two places that rent sunbeds and a free beach in the centre. I get naked on the free beach. There were no other nude people, but after I get naked, many other people get naked too
October - There are some rocks at the western end, giving privacy, and I went unclothed only after a group of three - one man and two women went naked on the beach - quite brave as it is overlooked by a club at this end and there was quite a bit of footfall. But nice beach and I covered up after they left. Everyone else were textiles.
