Apparently this has been an accepted naturist beach for some years. From Avithos walk to the LEFT as you face the sea and walk along the sand for 10-15 minutes, past the sunbeds, and around a small outcrop of rocks. Between this and the next big rocky outcrop is a small but lovely sandy beach. There are big rocks both on the sand and in the sea, though mostly it's a sandy bottom, quite gently shelving and great for swimming. The big boulders provide morning shade. You are not visible from the main Avithos beach nor from Paliolinos beach which is on the other side of the jumbled rocks at the far end. You used to be able to scramble over from Paliolinos beach (textile) to here but a rock fall in the winter of 2007-8 has made this very difficult.

The sand is lovely, and the water crystal-clear for swimming. The islet, right, is Dionisi, and that's a rock to the right of it.

2008 August: In the morning we sometimes had it to ourselves, with several couples and 2 or 3 singles arriving towards the middle of the day; reports are that it was never crowded even in the afternoons - and this was August! All naturist, and a mix of Greeks, Dutch, Italian and English people. Textiles do walk along from Avithos but generally turn back when they find themselves among naturists! One couple settled down near us and tried naturism, we suspect for the first time, obviously enjoying the experience.

2013 August: the beach was very much narrowed by wave action. To reach this beach we had to turn around some big rocks in the water (not so easy due to rough sea). We found a very nice naturist couple and we shared the beach with them. When they left some single men arrived (3 during the day): they stripped off but seemed voyeurs to us as they kept staring at us and then left after realizing we were only interested in naked relaxing. A textile couple arrived with a boat and swam to the beach: they took a look at the beach and then left after a few minutes.

2017 October: The main beach is managed, has a blue flag and is 100% textile. It was surprisingly busy for early October probably not only because of the beautiful soft golden sand and excellent swimming but also because of the nice bar right on the beach. The secluded beach past the rocks to the left of the main beach was empty when we arrived. Access to this beach is easy and there is a reasonable amount of parking space at the taverna on the main beach. On our second visit to the beach, we arrived in the morning and had coffee at the bar on the main beach … lovely atmosphere and relaxing chillout music on a glorious sunny day. We moved on to the left hand (east) end of the beach past the rocks. There was 1 single male naturist just before the rocks and a m/f couple and single male after the rocks. A few more naturists and textiles came and went throughout the day … completely perfect.
June: the Avithos beach is amazing and naturist-friendly beach, we visited today and at 11am there was another couple. After us several single men came and hung around (about 5-6) but we did not mind. Textile couple in twenties came and stayed close by, the miss took the top off but her mister was too shy. Later another handful of naturists came, looked like German couple with Greek friend. Not long after they become very excited and enjoyed the beach as if they were there alone. We are not judgmental and did not bother us that much. During the day a few textiles walked past but not paid too much attention. The beach is clean and beautiful. Will go again while here. We returned to this beach few days later as it was the best. You can also drive to the Paleolinos car park and walk through some rocks to the right, it's closer than from Avithos side. Once again beautiful beach and people there, up to 10 in total.

2018 June: We went there on a Sunday. Difficult to park your car! Walk about 250 metres along the coast to the rock complex. After the first rock begins the nudist beach. The place is incredible, the sea warm and clean but impossible to swim if you don't wade around 40m (the beach shelves slowly). About 8-10 heterosexual couples all naked, also all women, plus 2-3 single men and 2 single women. The beach is sandy but there are rocks that are slippery (be careful). On the beach you will find an incredible feeling and very sexy. May: Still one of the best naturist friendly beaches in Kefalonia. We went to the furthest end. One other m/f couple and three single males, all naturists. Pity the lovely bar on the main beach was not open when we were there this time. Work is well in hand to get it ready so we expect it will be open soon. To Entkko Taverna just behind it was open… Great coffee although the food is nothing special!

2019 September: Possibly the best time of year for naturists… The beaches are far less crowded with textiles but the season hasn’t quite come to an end so most bars, tavernas, etc. are still open. At this time of year the weather is still good and the sea warm, in fact this year temperatures were noticeably above average. We visited the beach a few times late in the month and pleased to report that, even a short distance beyond the sunbeds and umbrellas; beachgoers were comfortable to be naked. As before, the proportion of naturists increases further along the beach. Very few people and 100% nudist on the final stretch of sand, beyond the rock outcrop.

Glad to find the Cova Beach Bar, on the main textile beach, was open. The coffee is still great but a little disappointingly is now served on the tables in less environmentally friendly paper rather than crockery cups!

Further details of walk from a footpath down to the northwest beach then along the beaches to the furthest end of the southwest beach, including downloadable GPS data and photos taken from waypoints along it, can be found on Wikiloc click here.

2022 August: The beach after the rocks (see map) now has less sand than before. Only a smaller part right at the rocks has sand and even there the seabed is full of large stones, not easy to enter the water (see pic).

However the textile part before the rocks was empty from about halfway. If you go all the way to the end (see map) it was far enough from the crowd to be able to undress and that part of the beach still had some sand. The only problem might be the great number of textiles walking to the rocks, I saw someone walking there every 5-10 minutes, so it's not for the shyest. This was in high season, so a month later or earlier it might be better.
