Paradisi (Sissi) beach
Details
The beach is lovely: three sandy bays interconnected, with a freshwater spring piped out about 8′ above the middle beach – what a lovely shower! We walked to the left and were the only couple on that beach all day; a naturist couple with two children came to the middle beach, and there was one more couple on the beach to the right. The monastery at the top is fairly new, and you pass the ruins of the old monastery on the way down (or up); very, very picturesque, and worth every bit of the effort to get there.

2019 June: A beach that feels like paradise! When you finished the 15 minutes walk through a very natural forest with some muddy, stony and slippery sections, a lot of bees and dragonflies (We liked the walk, at least the way down) you will find a very beautiful natural beach with only a few visitors. We visited the beach three whole days and never found more than 10-15 visitors there, at least 80% of them were nude. The beach is separated by rocks into some sections giving you additional privacy. A natural fresh-water shower is in the centre of the beach. For us one of the best beaches for nudism that we have ever visited! The only drawback: The hike back to the monastery will take you 25-30 Minutes and can be challenging if you are not fit. July/August: Still lovely and still mixed naturist/textile. There are few visitors though so no problem finding a spot. October: Further details of the picturesque route to and along the beach, including downloadable GPS data and photos taken from waypoints along it can be found on Wikiloc click here.
Sissi remains nudist friendly. About 10 to 15 people on the beach, a 50:50 mix of textiles and naturist, mostly m/f couples. We walked to the far (south-eastern) end but found recent storms had banked larger pebbles up quite steeply on the beach. The sea seemed a little rougher at that end too so we returned to the opposite (north-western) end where we spent a lovely afternoon. The only slight disappointment since our previous report of October 2017 was that the large pipe that once provided a lovely fresh water shower has broken off and being much shorter the water now spills onto the rocky slope at the back of the beach. A smaller pipe has been improvised to reach beyond the rocks. Better than nothing but we do hope the larger pipe might be reinstated.

2025 September: From a Barefooter:
Monday Sep 22, mid morning. Mid 20s, little breeze, no cloud. Park on the extensive area of tarmac by Sissia monastery. The track down, approx ¾ miles distance and 425’ of descent, is vehicle width, but there’s a clear sign stating 4×4 only. The beach, a mix of pebbles and limestone gravel/sand, extends a total of over 300 yards, most of this being to the SE of the access point. As might be expected from that orientation, there is some shade available during the morning, but by mid-afternoon I doubt there is any – several of those on the beach had brought umbrellas.
Yhe seabed is mostly sand for tens of metres from the water’s edge, and slopes fairly steeply at first, then not very much: ideal for casual swimming. There were already several people there – widely scattered – and others appeared throughout our time, with a total population (including us) of 6 couples and one lone man. All were naked apart from one couple in skimpy costumes, and one top-free woman. A lovely beach, recommended if you are OK with the walk to/from.
