Predominantly a textile beach with a few beach front tavernas and sun-beds in front of them at the western end.
However it is long, nearly two kilometres, and textiles seldom venture far from the area near to the tavernas. Nudism is possible, at least out of high season, on the eastern part of the beach. South facing and backed by high cliffs it is a real sun trap!
Soft golden sand and fairly gently shelving seabed which is also mostly sand with some rocks and pebbles in places. Beach shoes aren’t essential but may be preferable. A well signposted, paved road leads from the main “23” Corfu town to Kavos road. There is a large parking area behind the beach and some additional parking at the tavernas.
A rough dirt track also approaches from the east along the cliff top and down to the centre of the beach. There is no beach parking on this track and vehicular access by this route isn’t advised. A small beach bar with stunning views over the beach is situated 100 metres from the beach along the switchback that descends down to the beach. This part of the track is very rough but not too difficult to walk. There is no mobile signal on the beach.
