Crystal clear waters and a very impressive landscape. The rocks behind the different beaches are awesome, very bright and white! The road is not as bumpy as it was, as most of it has been paved recently. And an ugly factory stands 2km before the beach - don't be misled, it is the right direction! Dressed part is very crowded during the summer, there is no bus service, a beach bar with cold beverages and sandwiches is available though. It is said to be the second most beautiful landscape on the island after Sarakiniko, and the water really is impressive.

My (anonymous) correspondent, to whom the Captain is very grateful for all this information, gives the beach an 80% rating, recent correspondents think it is worth 95%!.

2000 September: A report described Firiplaka as beautiful and nude (3 couples) at the western end. At the centre of the beach there is a snack bar and beach chairs and umbrellas and a large number of fully-suited visitors.

2001 May: The beach was deserted apart from a noisy pump getting sea water up to the quarry above. There is a dusty narrow track down to the beach from the quarry. It was quite easy to drive down and up in May but there could be problems if it was busy. There is a small car park at the bottom above the beach.

2003 September: my contributors found that even the (western) part after the rock pillar was textile, and took refuge on a stony beach beyond, where there was already one nude couple and several more joined them. As the sea is very rocky to enter, they returned after an hour or two to find that the lovely sandy beach, occupied by textiles when first passed, had become 50% naturist: some brave soul must have started a fashion!

2005 August: Barefooters spent 4 days on Fyriplaka and thought it the best nudist beach on Milos. After the big rock almost everyone was nude every day, between 20 and 50 men and women.

2010 June: On the South side of the island, it is a big gulf divided by a giant rock in the middle of the beach. Easily reachable with a small distance on a dirt road. In summer the small parking spot should be by far too small, I think.

Being rather wide, waters can be extremely calm or very agitated according to the wind. Crystal waters, clear sand, wonderful colours on the rocks in the background. No natural shadow. Nudist spot is still on the far side of the beach, beyond the giant rock.

2011 July: Walk past the beach bar towards the huge rock that stands at the end of the beach. You may prefer to walk in the water up to your waist, it will be easier. The part after the huge rock is near 100% nude.

Walking further eastwards will lead you to two secluded beaches that are always nude. I was there yesterday and there were only two girls and couple, although it is high season now. Make sure to bring sun lotion or some kind of shade - umbrella perhaps, or a sheet you can tie to the side of the rock to make a little tent.

August: Beautiful beach with dramatic cliffs. When you enter the beach, just continue until after the large vertical rock. Behind that there were several people nude. Both times we were there, it was mixed nude/textile, becoming more textile as it got busier. Even nicer is the part after the next couple of rocks in the sea. This ‘third beach’ is usually very quiet and is nice and sandy.

The first time we got there we stuck to the ‘second’ beach (because we did not realize there was a third). There was only one other nude couple. We joined them, and were soon after joined by a third nude couple and two nude singles. That established that part of the beach as nude for the rest of the day. The second time we continued a little further and found more nude people.

2013 July: This beach is no longer nude at this time of the year. A taverna is installed on the main beach, and they rent umbrellas and transats.
The west part of the beach (behind the big rock), can be considered as nude, we went naked, but after some minutes, some dressed families came over, so we dressed up back.
August: 0% nudity. Another of the busiest beaches on the island.

2018 July: A correspondent found some nudists after the big rock going westwards and rated the beach 70% due to the bar on the eastern part that turns the beach busier than it should.
late September: After the big rock going westwards a nude couple could stay all day long completely naked in fantastic atmosphere, even with strong Meltemi blowing from the north, thus determining more people flocking to the beach because of the impossibility to stay in several other beaches around, turning Firiplaka itself quite crowded, specially in the eastern part.
When the couple arrived there were more nudists (2 singles and 2 couples apart from the above mentioned barefooters) than textiles after the middle big rock. During daytime some of them left and a new young nudist couple came, someone who was dressed decided to get naked, and some new textile also arrived. In this everchanging atmosphere, nevertheless, despite some textiles coming to take a walk and pics of the beautiful rocks behind the beach, the day was very relaxing and the atmosphere great. Water was crystal clear and flat despite the strong winds from the north, making it the perfect beach when Meltemi blows, with still very good chances to stay naked out of season. The couple rated the beach 90% (would have been 100% without the bar!).

2022 September: 1 nudist couple only beyond the huge rock at the western end, overwhelmed by textiles, but enough room for us to stay naked as well.
