In the south of the Island, well served by bus from Adamas in the Summer. There are three lovely beaches, the first near hotels is mostly clothed, but the other, below where the bus terminates at the church of Aghios Nikolais, is wonderful and mostly nude; the third one is under Giourgas Apartments, perfect place to stay in for calm seeking lovers! The water is unbelievably clear and calm, being sheltered from the north wind.

2013 August: 0% nudity. One of the busiest beaches on the island.

2015 August: FORGET Provatas and Agios Ioannis they are NOT any more nudist beaches, and local testimonies confirmed it to me for the whole season. We were the only 2 naked swimmers and soon gave up.2016 A Saturday, June: a real family beach, the sandy part that is.

2018 July: a correspondent found the central beach to be nice, with crystal-clear water but few naturists. Rating 70%.
late September: a nude couple found the almost private beach just under the nice rooms at Giourgas very suitable for naturism, as several guests from the apartments are looking for a peaceful holiday, away from the most crowded island settings, and can therefore be naturists themselves (but no nudity in the apartments nor on the path to the beach, respect!). Therefore every day during the week it was possible to skinny dip in the eastern part of the beach under the apartments, secluded from the houses thanks to the cliffs behind that part of the beach. The western part was always clothed, the eastern 100% naked all week long: sometimes the couple was alone, sometimes with other 1-2 couples, sometimes with lonely naturists from the apartments or coming by foot from the central Provatas beach. Very beautiful colours of the fine reddish sand and crystal-clear green water. The couple rated the little secluded western Provatas cove 95%.

2022 September: we found Provatas 100% textile. Despite that, we stayed naked on the secluded beach next to it (at the right side facing the sea), we think it's called Agios Sostis. It can be reached from a staircase at the restaurant Tarantella. There were 2 other textile (topless) couples but we didn't feel unconfortable due to the ample available room. We were at the left end (facing the sea), which is a fantastic spot under a shadowy cliff. Sand is very fine and sea is crystal clear. Of course when meltemi blows from south it's not an option.
